Better before remodel

"I don't what has happened to this place. The service isn't top notch, and it's a noisy atmosphere. My son ordered a taco and it just dripped of grease. (how do you mess up a taco?)"

Poor / Slow Service

"Went to Marita's for a night out on the town and while I cannot comment on the food, the bar service was very slow. I waiting 20 - 25 minutes for one drink. You will too, that is unless you know one of the bartenders. If you do, expect to get your drink promptly. They will wait on their friends first no matter how long you have been waiting at the bar. Not only does this happen to me, it happens to my friends and other people I know as well. I will not return to Marita's. Ever."

Pros: The waitress was nice and attentive. The chips were good.

"Despite reading the reviews, we wanted to check it out for ourselves and we just wasted our money. The meat was so greasy and the rice tasted like it was from last week. The salsa was warm and had a weird texture like it was pureed to be served in a nursing home. The atmosphere... noisy. They need to install some partition walls or something to deaden some of the noise."

"Old maritas was great...Now theres flies all around even landing on my food not just fruit flies either. It is dirty also, had hair on my food twice(was not my hair)I will never go back kept hoping it would be better but never is, just going more down hill."

"I guess I'd have to ask myself why I would go back the 3rd time if I was dissatisfied going there the other two. All I can say is that we are regular patrons to Maritas and pleased with the service and food. We take advantage of the Monday Night 1/2 price special and have always found service to be most acceptable. Our three favorite servers are Danielle, Zack, and Rose. Although the 'old' Maritas had a different character, I prefer the 'new' one as it is a bit more brighter and open. Food has always be served timely and hot, portions most acceptable, with a box that goes home with us. The ESU crowd is there, but not objectionable, mostly talk, no fights. We'll continue to go...why not?"

Now...sterile, tv laden dining room, poor service, and the food is not worth the money. Tried it three times, since it was changed from the great place it was, and three is the charm. "
