pleasantly delighted
"We stopped in for Dinner two weeks ago and we were so delighted with everything, from Dessert to the service to the quality of the food, the freshness AND the price. It was not expensive at all and we even had dessert which was pineapple upside down cake (unusal) and fabulous. We will certainly return soon! "

Fast food may be a better option.
"Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant. I?m not quite sure what they did to the lobster tails they served My wife and I, they tasted like clams with pepper."

Not a fair review
Pros: Always worth the money
Cons: Reservations suggested
"I go to this restaurant often and the food is always very good. It's cooked the way I order it, the portion size is great for the money and the salad bar is always fresh and filled. Throwing digs at good establishments? You must be one of the chain owners that just can't compete with one of my home town favorites! Maybe you'll be next like Arby's in Stroudsburg - their gone - your next."

Disapointed
Pros: none
Cons: costly and un apetizing
"Went there during there seafood fest surf and turf $18.95 if thats the sale price id expect it to be quite decent it wasnt. And the salad bars is a joke its a little table in the hole in a wall thing that is gross and un clean."

too many clams for not enough real seafood
"We were here a while ago, and tried it again for a birthday lunch. On the expensive side for a lunch menu. I had the lobster roll. Instead of yummy it was crummy. Looked great when they first brought it out on a hero roll (it should be in a new england style hot dog bun) turned into a bummer since there was pieces of lobster on the top and "artificial" "sea leggs" on the bottom. I HATE WHEN RESTRAUANTS ARE CHEAP & USE "SEA LEGGS" AND DON'T NOTE IT ON THE MENU.

FOR THE $15.95 USE THE HOTDOG ROLL AND REAL LOBSTER.

HAD BETTER AT THE RED LOBSTER

Awful food
Pros: none
Cons: frozen so-called "fresh" seafood, food has no taste, bad experience all around
"Smuggler's Cove is probably the worst seafood restaurant I have ever eaten in. The food is not good and clearly frozen. There is nothing "fresh" about it. I will never eat there again and it astounds me that anyone does! "

Pros: ????
Cons: not fresh, too much money
"Fresh seafood for a few clams? Seafood lover can tell the difference, between fresh and frozen! waitress wasn't sure if fresh or not. $18.00 for "fresh fish" is ridiculous. We will not be back!"

Good food, good prices
"I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The best time to go is in the off season. I was there in March for my birthday, and for $18 I got a full lobster dinner. Prices are more expensive in the summer but still worth it. The lobster is always done perfect and the salad bar is delicious. "

Horrible-Who are they kidding?
Pros: Bar
Cons: Expensive, no personality and spoiled food
"Nasty workers
No one has a personality
I think they should close the restaurant and keep the bar open.
Seafood smells fishy, I got sick later that night."

Smugglers Cove
"I keep hoping it will get better, but after 3 visits, i'm done. The salad bar hardly has anything on it, and the food is nothing to rave about. Red Lobster is so much better and less expensive."

Great Menu
Pros: Great quiet dinning experience.
"I just came back from eating at Smuggler's and I'm delighted to say that the new menu is terrific. I'm not a tiny guy and the quality and quantity of the food was great. I've been to the chains and the food at Smuggler's is far superior in freshness and flavor. The young man Giovanni, that was our waiter, was attentive and understood how to pace a meal. I hope he enjoys his extra tip, he earned it. We left a great review on the in house survey card but I thought that this experience was terrific and others should know. While eating there we saw some folks that we know and that enhanced the experience. What a nice casual and social place to enjoy a meal with my family and friends. I also just looked at the menu online for the seafood chains and had we eaten there we would have paid more for similar meal items and I'm sure by looking at the plates online it would have been far less food.
I love this place and if this remains the same I'll remain a frequent diner!"

Nice
Pros: Nice and close, good food
"We were going to run to Allentown to Red Lobster for seafood but time was an issue so we came to Smugglers and had a great meal, servers were wonderful, didn't have to drive so far and was not fast foody like the chain resturants we have gone back since and will continue to do so. "

a great experience
Pros: Perfectly done crabcakes!
Cons: A little hurried between salads and dinner, but nothing to worry about
"We were in town visiting relatives last week, and had lunch at Smugglers Cove. What a great find! We were impressed with the fantastic service, and then our seafood was some of the best we have ever had! We will absolutely come back here when we visit again in November, and this time will bring the entire family!"

"Our family really enjoyed our experience at Smugglers Cove on Sunday 9/16. All of the seafood was prepared exactly as we like, and the service was right on as well. Thanks for a great meal!"
