They are ALL about the money, not the animals.
Cons: They care more about making money than helping animals, and their prices are higher than the vet in NJ!
"We recently moved from NJ to PA with our Saint Bernard Harley. His last yearly check up was not long ago. He has been going to the vet since we got him at 9 weeks old. He's now almost 10 years old, and on Previcox for arthritis pain. He'll shortly be getting Adequan shots instead. His meds were low so I called a few different animal hospitals to see if I could get his meds refilled. All the hospitals I called said all I needed was a prescription faxed to them from his vet, and they would fill it, but when I told them it was Previcox, no one carried that particular brand. Then a friend suggested I try Barton Heights. I did, and was so happy when the woman who answered told me they did indeed carry Previcox! I was told the only way to get the previcox was to arrange an office visit with proper tests to get the meds. I explained he already had the tests (liver/kidney) when they gave him the meds a few months ago. I Explained his shots, heartworm etc were all up to date. I offered to have his records faxed along with the prescription of course. She said no. I see no reason to spend a few hundred dollars "again" to have Barton Heights do what he already had done less then 3 months ago! In my opinion this hospital is about the money not the animals. "
